Public space

Address: Riga, Latvia

Year: 2015—in progress

Area: 245 m2

The concept for the lobby and public space at Place 11 is based on Carl Jung’s theory of synchronicity, or “being in the right place at the right time.” At the heart of this project is light. An installation of mirrors creates a unique effect: when light shines in at a particular moment in time a myriad of light rays appear, generating a rainbow illusion. The building is BREEAM certified, recognising the use of local materials and energy-efficient solutions.
